When my adorable dog turned 7, I drew this Happy Birthday Colouring Card with Dog in honor of her birthday. The dog in the colouring card is modeled after her long shape. I have plenty of practice drawing and painting her, especially while she’s sleeping!
I got my dog during first year art school in New York city. During that first semester of art school, she kept me company in my art studio and attended many art classes, lectures, and artist talks. I created many quick gesture drawings and blurry paintings of my sweet dog when she was puppy.
My dog has had polyarthritis and back issues. We've had some scares but thankfully she's recovered. For a while my dog was the only other female in my house. I knew my husband was a keeper because of her. When she met my husband, she immediately fell in love with him.

Why Make Colouring Cards?
Even before I became a mother, I was fascinated by animals. My dog featured prominently in my paintings and other artwork. When I had my first child, I started painting and drawing animals and toys.
