This Painting Found Its Forever Home

Shown here is art collector Janice holding an abstract painting that she added to her art collection earlier this month. I'm so happy that this small abstract painting found its forever home with amazing Janice and her lovely family. I made the painting over many months in 2018 and 2019, slowly building up and layering the paint with brushes and palette knives. The artwork was created over countless painting sessions and got very thick and textured over time as I kept adding more paint. I used acrylic paint and medium for this colorful painting. Thank you, Janice, for being so encouraging and interested in my artwork for such a long time! It's so wonderful when creatives support one another. I'm always very honored when a fellow artist or artisan wants to add my original painting to his or her personal collection. I'm also very grateful when art and gift buyers send me photos of themselves with their purchases. Janice shared this photo of herself with my abstract painting on the day that she took it home.
