Toys, stuffed animals and more toys!

If you're a parent of a young child, you're probably used to toys scattered all over your house. As soon as you clean, the kids make a mess again!

Toys are all around me: in my studio where I make art and all over our house. Yes, we let our son take over our house, but that's another story for another post. Because toys are in my space, my son's favorite stuffed animals have been appearing in my artwork. You can see this in my Daily Drawing Project.

Toys and mostly stuffed animals have been the focus of my Daily Drawing Project artwork. I started drawing daily in early 2015. Originally I drew the toy elephant each day.

Then I added a toy lion to the setup with the toy elephant. Occasionally I drew toy horses, a rocking horse and Elmo dolls.

In winter 2015, I started drawing the teddy bear shown here. The teddy bear has been drawing me in and capturing my attention every day. This past week I added a toy bird along with the teddy bear.
