Then and Now Art Show
75 Years Anniversary of Brandeis University
This past weekend I went to Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston, for the opening of the “Then and Now” art show curated by Andrea Soloway and Alison Judd. The two art curators are shown above in front of my artworks. The top painting is “Confusion” (1994), acrylic on canvas and the bottom is “After the Plague Party” (2023), ink on paper. The weather in Boston was perfect and campus was thriving with alumni and students, but my heart and mind are in Israel. Thank you to Brandeis alumni, art curator Andrea, and artist curator Alison for the delicious lunch with artists. It was wonderful to see so many esteemed alumni and Brandeis President Rom Leibowitz and his wife Jessica attend the art opening, shown here with art curator Andrea Soloway.
Thank you to Brandeis Painting Professor Joe Wardwell for the tour of the fine arts building.
Thank you to Rose Art Museum Director Gannit Ankori for the exhibition tours of Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain and Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain.
Representing the 90's at Brandeis University
The “Then and Now” art show features artworks by eight Brandeis alumni artists, one from each the University's eight decades. The art exhibition is on view in the Wien Faculty Centre at Brandeis University until April 2024. As you enter the Wien Faculty Centre, visitors see the names of the eight artists in the "Then and Now" art show at Brandeis University. The artists in the show are Diana Kurz ’57, Fran Forman ’67, Rachel Siporin ’75, Deborah, Klotz ’84, Rachael Grad ’99, Ryan Pressman ’06, Orli Swergold ’18, and Vicente Cayuela ’22. Each artist has an artwork from the decade they attended Brandeis and a current piece in the show. The art show is curated by Andrea Soloway '89 and Alison Beker Judd ’04, PB’05. The art opening and exhibition were sponsored by the Brandeis Alumni Association.
