ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS IN PRIMARY COLORS
Red Blue Abstract Landscape on Metal took several years to create and was complete. This original painting by Artist Rachael Grad measures 10" by 12" and is acrylic paint on metal panel. Red, blue and yellow primary colors along with greens and purples are thinly layered in this artwork. The metal panel surface shines through the thin layers of paint colors and glazes. Painting in this way is a very slow process, with layers built up over time.
Please note that the original painting is signed on the back. The "Rachael Grad" writing on the art is only for web and art print purposes.
This primary colors painting ships worldwide directly from my Toronto art studio.
DOT COLOR SERIES PAINTINGS IN PRIMARY COLORS
Bright colors and experimenting with technique are the focus of my color studies paintings. The multicolor Dot Painting Series is about bright color combinations and meditation. Colorful abstract brushstrokes are the focus of this artwork series. The painting process for this series is a form of meditation.
Colors in the Dot Series Paintings
Each Dot Series painting on wood or metal panel is a different experiment in color combinations. The colors range wildly between paintings in this series. Many of the Dot Series paintings are multicolored combining bright, bold colors and softer neutrals.
Some paintings have a similar range of color, like this primary colors dominant artwork here. Other Dot Series paintings use a large variety and spectrum of color.
THE DOT SERIES IS A SLOW PROCESS
The paintings in this meditative artwork series take many months, sometimes years to complete. The process is extremely slow because with each artwork I carefully layer thin acrylic paint brushstrokes and glazes on wood board or metal panels.
One small brushstroke can change the look of an entire painting. In session after session I add glazes and colors until the combination moves and sings.
