Sculpture Show this Summer is Moving
2020 Brain Project Art Show Change
Yesterday I learnt that The Baycrest Brain Project will not be on view outside Toronto City Hall in Nathan Phillips Square this summer. The City of Toronto cancelled the art exhibition due to COVID-19 restrictions. My brain sculpture will be revealed by Baycrest along with the other selected artists's artwork later this month (June 2020). Once Baycrest shares images of all the brain sculptures on its website, I'll share my original artwork on my Art Blog. The brain sculptures were supposed to be on view outside of Toronto City Hall for all of July and August, where they've been shown in recent years. Instead the artworks will be shown in alternative public places in summer and fall 2020. I'll let you know where my sculpture will be on view once I learn more from Baycrest. The Yogen Früz Brain Project has been running for over 5 years and 50 artists are selected each year through a juried art process. The Yogen Früz Brain Project is a city-wide Toronto art exhibit with
"exciting, thought-provoking works of art that raise awareness about brain health and critical funding for research at Baycrest for Alzheimer’s and related dementias."
You can read more about this exciting, public art competition and show on the Brain Project website.
