Why Markham Stouffville Hospital?
My family has a long history of supporting Markham Stouffville Hospital. In winter 2015, my husband had an MRI at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He was hours away from being paralyzed and without the MRI, he would now be in a wheelchair.
The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites is the proud venue sponsor of two large Markham Stouffville Hospital fundraisers: the annual Celebration of Hope and The Gala. I've had the pleasure of working with Markham Stouffville Hospital foundation staff and attending the hospital's fundraisers.
I know that any donations to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation will benefit a great organization and the York Region community. The government can’t fund all equipment and priority needs, which is why donations can make such a large impact. Like the MRI that saved my husband from being in a wheelchair, when our hospital has the tools it needs, it can make the world of a difference. I hope that my small contribution from my Art Print sales (25% of the proceeds) will help Markham Stouffville Hospital invest in new technology.
Why Prints of Italy?
For this show of Charity Art Prints, I chose some favorite photographs from mhy trips to Italy in the summertime. The Charity Art Prints are high-quality, limited edition prints of my most popular artwork and photography.
Italy is my favorite place to visit and where I was fortunate to study art on several occasions. The colors, landscape, and architecture in Italy are incredibly inspiring for me. Some of the these art prints are the basis for my paintings and Mixed Media Artwork of animals in Italy.
Why Animals in Italy?
My husband and I adore animals and especially dogs.
